Is there a fee for Reservation Service?
THERE IS A $5.00 HANDLING CHARGE FOR ALL RESERVATIONS and ORDERS. 
THIS IS NOT REFUNDABLE.  The bookstore takes textbook reservations up until a few days before the semester begins. If you register for class on the CCSF web page you may access textbook reservations when you register. We do not have books during this time.  You are reserving books which can be picked up from the bookstore when they arrive.  A confirming e-mail will be sent within a few minutes of placing your reservation.  No other prior notification of your textbook reservation status will be sent.  When books are pulled and ready for pick up we will send a notice telling you how much has been charged to your credit card. This may be as early as Three weeks before classes begin. Be sure the credit card you use is valid through the actual month classes begin.  Once classes begin we cannot take any reservations.  Textbook odertaking resumes after the second week of class.
Will I get New Books or Used Books?
If you request used books we will try to fill your request.  We do not know how many used copies of books we will have.  Obtaining used books is an unpredictable job.  We need to rely on students selling books back during finals in order to have used books available for the next semester.  You may tell us your preference or tell us New or Used only.  If your reservation indicates New Preferred or Used Preferred we will ship whichever we have.

When do I pick Up?
Reserved textbooks for each term will be available for pick up at the bookstore on the Ocean/Phelan Campus ONLY.  Reservations placed for FALL books before July 31, 2010 should be ready for pick up on Tuesday August 3rd. Orders placed on or after August 1st should be ready for pick up in 48 business hours following your order. 

When will books be shipped?
If you requested books be shipped: We begin shipping books three weeks prior to the first day of class.  You will get an e-mail after the books have shipped telling you how much we have charged your credit card.  Reservations received within two weeks of the first day of class take up to 48 business hours to be pulled and shipped.  You will receive e-mail confirmation when books are shipped.  Allow 2 or 3 business days, following the shipping date, to receive books shipped to an address in California.

I want to cancel. When and How can I do that?
If you wish to cancel a reservation without penalty you need to do so by December 30 for Spring; May 29 for Summer and by July 31 for the Fall..  Send an e-mail to tell us you want the order canceled.  We will confirm within 72 hours (Weekends and Holidays excluded).

Is there a deadline to pick up?
There is a pick up deadline.  Books must be picked up by the fourth day of classes each semester. If not picked up by 5 pm on that date the books will be returned to stock.  Any charges made to your credit card will be refunded LESS a $10.00 handling fee.

Can I return books?
Books are returnable within one week of the first day of class.  NO RETURNS for classes which last less than TWO calendar weeks. You must bring books into the bookstore on the Ocean / Phelan Campus, along with your receipt.  The deadline is on your receipt and books must be returned by the date shown.  There is no refund for shipping or handling charges.

Mine were shipped to me, how do I return them?
Bring them into the bookstore on the Ocean / Phelan Campus, along with your receipt. Or you may ship them back.
